The Vineyard Team
At Scheid Vineyards, we have a saying: “It is the grapes”. Our company logo, which also adorns our wine labels, is our way of paying homage to our vineyard leaders and crews and recognize the truism that great wine begins in the vineyards. Farming and viticulture is the foundation at Scheid Vineyards. With 12 estate vineyards spread across four climatic zones and a myriad of terroirs, our experienced, talented and hard working vineyard team is the key to our award-winning wines.
Four members of our vineyard team have been with Scheid Vineyards for 39 years or more. Rodolfo Mora is the Senior Vineyard Supervisor of our San Lucas Vineyard and joined us in 1981. Jose Dominguez is our Assistant Viticulturist and started with Scheid in 1980. Marcelino Torres is the Senior Vineyard Supervisor of our Riverview Vineyard and has been with Scheid since 1976. Eliseo Dominguez is our Equipment Maintenance Supervisor and has been with Scheid since 1975.
In addition to our Fab 4, our vineyard team is comprised of many hard-working, dedicated men and women with whom we are very proud to work. No company can be great without great people, and the tremendous commitment and work ethic of our vineyard team makes them one of the most valuable assets of our company.
